Can you say it any better then that? There is something to be said for the right pair of shoes for the right occasion. In the end you can style yourself into the perfect gown, adorn yourself with amazing jewelry and your hair can make all around you stop and gasp in admiration. But what if they look down and see a pair of scuffed, dull, geriatric support shoes that no one with a sense for fashion and flair would deem to own let alone place on their feet? Disaster. Clear and simple.
I am sure many of you recall the scene in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" filmed in 2006 where Miranda Priestly looked down at the clod-hoppers worn by Andy Sachs and just pursed her lips? So much disdain expressed with a look. I actually winced as I watched the movie, feeling so sorry for Andy yet totally understanding the message that was delivered by the famous glance. A silent and yet poignant look that anyone watching would understand perfectly.
In fact I will go so far as to say that shoes they are not just important they can be THE most important aspects of ones attire. You can wear a simple pair of tights and a nice sleek top, slip into an amazing pair of heels and you are walking on top of the world. No other item in our wardrobes can create or finish off ones look as completely as the perfect pair of shoes.
