Romancing the Stones

Donna Flora's - PASQUALINA  Set

We all love bargains, freebies, hunts and special offers just to list a few of the many means by which we are coached to teleport from shop to shop. We are all hoping for a treasure, a wardrobe must, something that makes your attire just that much more wonderful then it was before you lucked onto the perfect find! Well I had to go back and check just to see the exact date I was one of those people who actually found a treasure, and not just one item but an entire store full, a place I consider my very own treasure vault. It was April 24th, 2011, a turning point in my  SL experience.

Out shopping with one of my best girlfriends, we entered a store,  I accepted the free gift and then because I was in a huge rush went home. Several days later when I was organizing my inventory and I came across the folder.....it read "Donna Flora PASQUALINA set" I put it all on and then paused to look, and I looked and looked. Such quality and detail, it was delightful! I was never much of a jewelry lover before, not because I don't love that little teal-blue box that screams Tiffani's as well as the next person but because in SL the jewelry I had found all looked a bit too gaudy, too much bling, precious metals were far from precious or it was poorly made. Clearly I had been shopping in all the wrong places! So it came as no surprise to me at all when I needed jewelry for various styling projects to find myself back at Donna Flora's, gazing raptly up and down the walls, seeking the right color, and style for the most exciting polished look. I have become an acolyte of those who are romancing the stones and I don't think I will ever be disappointed. Now my jewelry box looks like a Who's Who of exquisitely crafted necklaces, earrings and bracelets. I find it a little amusing and a lot amazing that one free gift changed the course of my shopping experience.
